Libertines Pete and Carl - the only joint interview
Duo give exclusive joint interview at Shockwaves NME Awards
Feb 26, 2009
Pete Doherty has said that The Libertines will reform in 2010 – while former band-mate Carl Barat has claimed that the pair are still The Libertines anyway.
The pair spoke to Neil Cole on NME Radio at the Shockwaves NME Awards last night (February 25) - their only joint interview on the night - with Barat suggesting that he had plans for a solo album before any reformation takes place.
Cole mentioned that if he was interviewing them a few years ago he would have been interviewing The Libertines, to which Barat said: "You have got The Libertines in front of you – what are you talking about?"
Doherty added: "I've been trying to twist his arm about that one," then later said, "2010".
"I always put Pete forward as a little guinea pig," Barat then joked. "Pete solo, that worked out, so I'll do that next year."
To hear the interview at 3pm (GMT) and 7pm today (February 26), tune in through Sky Channel 0184, Virgin Media 975, Freesat 727 or via NME.COM/Radio.
Pete Doherty won the Best Solo Artist award at the bash last night.

There's magic in the night
Last year Elke and Karolien had a party at their student place that turned out to become quite legendary. Enough reason to do it again this year. We got a little less drama, a little more love, but equal fun.

Let's dance to Joy Division
Because of having my wisdom teeth removed I had to endure a really quiet week (because honestly, nobody needed to see the Laura Hamster Edition), which made me extremely happy when last week was all normal again. Including parties at the Make Up of course!

Since two weeks ago, they've started organising free student parties each Thursday. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect, but it was awesome. I brought Leehana, Kim and Nick and met some more friends in the club to have a great time.

70%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?
Does that mean committed to my blog yet still healthy? :D
Talking about healthy, a couple of weeks ago I decided to practice some more sports to support my body condition that I can use well whilst playing badminton. And I'm keeping this promise I made to myself, cause today I'm off for my first real swim in years!

They twist and they shout for, for the boys in the band
Last week's Hindu Nights was the most special edition to me so far. Why is that? Because ex-Libertine Carl Barât was dj'ing! It's a shame he didn't do a gig on his guitar, but still, it's Carl - I'm happy! :)
After warming up with some drinks and an Oasis dvd at Nick's place, we went over to the Make Up Club for a superb night out.

Then, all of a sudden, Peter came over to me to tell me about an afterparty at Carl's place. Unfortunately there were quite a lot of people who turned up for the afterparty and only Peter's friends could come in, so I had to leave all of my friends behind. I felt really bad for them, but the darlings wanted me to go in anyway, so THANK YOU once again!
